“Landscape on the soles of my feet: contours on the tips of my fingers”

My stitched textiles are usually inspired by my love of landscape which I frequently photograph when out walking.

Maps of every kind appeal to me and often feature in my work.

As a natural scientist, I am also a researcher and experimenter, so my creations do not necessarily follow any single format or theme.

Intuitively I respond to layer and line, colour and pattern, and enjoy designing just for the sake of it.

I exhibit new work regularly and mentor others.
